Chiomenti supports Fondazione Rava in the redevelopment of spaces at Beccaria Juvenile Detention Center
On February 27, the renovated spaces of the former female building within the Cesare Beccaria Juvenile Detention Center (IPM) in Milan were inaugurated. The redevelopment was made possible through the commitment of Fondazione Francesca Rava - NPH Italia ETS, with the support of Chiomenti.
The renovation work focused on the art laboratory, the gym, the library, the room dedicated to meetings between young detainees and their families, and the adjacent corridor. This initiative is part of the broader Palla al Centro project, promoted by Fondazione Francesca Rava in 2020 to prevent youth hardship, create a bridge with the city of Milan, and foster a responsible community.
The ceremony was a valuable opportunity for dialogue and sharing, bringing together donors, volunteers, and institutions, including Mariavittoria Rava, President of Fondazione Francesca Rava; Maria Carla Gatto, President of the Juvenile Court of Milan; Raffaella Messina, Director of the Cesare Beccaria Juvenile Detention Center; Francesca Nanni, Attorney General of Milan; and Lamberto Bertolè, Councilor for Welfare and Health of the Municipality of Milan.
"This project represents an opportunity for us to give back to the community in which we operate, a fundamental pillar of our WeCare program, which includes a series of concrete actions in support of society," commented Managing Partners Gregorio Consoli and Filippo Modulo. "Our collaboration with Fondazione Rava stems from a shared commitment to join forces in tackling social hardship, with the aim of helping to build a solid foundation for a second chance. Our commitment has resulted in the redevelopment of several areas where young detainees engage in sports and recreational activities, giving them the opportunity to cultivate their passions and develop their talents. We hope that this significant project will generate a positive impact by breaking down all forms of prejudice."
