Professor Attorney Pierluigi Perri New Of Counsel for Chiomenti

Chiomenti welcomes Prof. Atty. Pierluigi Perri, Of Counsel.

Pierluigi is Associate Professor of "Information Security, Privacy and Protection of Sensitive Data" at the University of Milan, where he coordinates the post graduate Advanced Courses on "Data Protection and Data Governance" and "Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Platforms."

As for the academic career, he was also Non-Residential Fellow at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford University, Visiting Researcher in the Corporate and Legal Affairs department of Microsoft Inc. and Visiting Postdoctoral Associate at the Information Society Project of Yale Law School.

He is also member of several supervisory boards, of the Eurojust Expert Committee for the EuroMedJustice project, particularly focused on data protection issues in judicial cooperation, and of the Expert Committee on the European Data Protection Board.

He was seconded official at the Secretariat of the Convention on Cybercrime of the Council of Europe, and has been a member of the Committee of Experts on Human Rights and Automated Forms of Data Processing and Artificial Intelligence (MSI-AUT), where he served as co-rapporteur on Recommendation CM/Rec(2020)1 on the Impact of Algorithmic Systems on Human Rights.

He authored several books and scientific papers about Privacy, Data Protection and cybersecurity.
