BENEDETTA VENTURATO

Benedetta provides legal assistance to individuals and companies involved in corporate criminal proceedings. She also provides out-of-court legal advice to leading Italian and foreign companies on various issues pertaining to corporate criminal law, with a particular focus on financing, corporate law and bankruptcy matters.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Benedetta Venturato joined Chiomenti in 2017 and became a Managing Associate in 2025. Prior to joining the Firm, she practiced corporate criminal law at a leading Italian international law firm and she worked for the legal office of a prominent UK investment bank in London. In 2022 and 2023 she was a Foreign Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP (New York).

 

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

Benedetta obtained a a PhD in Criminal Law at the University of Milan, Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, and is a Member of the “Federico Stella” Research Centre on Criminal Justice and Criminal Policy, with which she has cooperated since 2013, doing research in Criminal Law. Within her academic career, she has stayed, for study and research purposes, at the University of California (Santa Cruz), at the Institut suisse de Droit comparé in Lausanne and at the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Strafrecht in Fribourg.
